IFS teaches that these parts aren't problems; they are actually trying to help you. Healing happens when you listen and try to understand them, how they came about, and the wounded parts they are protecting.
It also helps strengthen your Self - the best part of you that stays calm and curious no matter what and never gets extinguished.
IFS is a mind-body approach.
I often blend IFS with somatic awareness, breathing and mindfulness. The combination offers a safe, empowering way to heal, one part at a time.
It is effective with all types of trauma and inner conflict, shame, negative repetitive behavior and more.
